Can anyone please suggest before I move all printers over to these 3 drivers and remove the old 25, if this is advised? The printer is HP LaserJet 2605dn, the OS is Windows 7 (x64). Last time I looked at the business lines, they still had drivers available, especially the 2000 and 4000 series machines. Many printers only have PostScript emulation. this content

Also- have you considered the possibility of reducing your printers rather than the drivers? Mix pi and e to make pie! As far as differences go, normally it comes down to the printer's capabilities, such as finishing, duplexing, etc. These were mostly developed for use over a network, so can be deployed quickly and easily without having to worry about setting up individual settings for each machine.
All drivers just install naturally when double clicking on the printer on the UNC of the server so it's painless. In my setup the drivers are only installed during the first login after the printer is assigned, once they are installed they should not effect log in time.
